4 Days Marrakech To Fez via Merzouga Desert Erg Chebbi







This Kasbah and Sahara Desert tour allows you to experience beautiful landscapes, magnificent Kasbahs and desert camel treks for 4 days.

 
You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle with a private and experienced English-speaking driver / guide for the entire tour. 


Half board is included in everything, and the camel trek will take you to a desert night camp. For your convenience, the campsite is equipped with western toilets.



Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley: 

Greetings at your riad or hotel where you will be picked up. You will start your journey south to the Dades Gorges via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. you will visit the Berber village of Ait Ben Haddou, founded in the 11th century, its location on the main road from Marrakech to the Sahara, means it was an ideal stop for traders who transported salt across the desert and returned with goods such as gold and ivory . After lunch, you will continue to the Dades gorges through the valley of roses. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 2: Dades Gorges, Todgha Gorges, Merzouga Desert 
 
Depart in the morning for the Sahara Desert via the Todgha Gorges, where you will take a car ride to explore these magnificent and narrow gorges. After lunch, continue to the town of Erfoud to visit a local fossil crafts workshop. Continuing towards the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. Spend the night in a traditional Kasbah hotel near the dazzling sand dunes.

 
Day 3: Excursion to Erg Chebbi and camel ride 

 
After breakfast you will start a fantastic journey around the dunes as you pass the oasis, the wandering depot, the village of Khamlia, the Mifiss mines, the plaque desert meeting the Berber desert nomads, the oasis of Tissardemine, lunch in Rissani and return. to the hotel for camel rides to watch the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp, enjoy a Moroccan dinner, listen to Berber music, you can join in playing drums and dancing. We will spend the night in a traditional nomadic camel hair tent.
 
Day 4: Merzouga desert, Ziz valley, Ifran, Fez 
 
Wake up to a spectacular sunrise in the desert and return to the hotel for breakfast and shower. Then you will start your journey in Fez by passing through Rissani and the Ziz valley enjoying their plam plantation. After lunch in Midelt, you will continue to Fes via Azrou, where you will have the opportunity to see the largest cedar forest in the region, inhabited by the babbary macaque. Short stay in Ifrane (little Switzerland). Thereafter, you will continue to fes. Note: this itinerary can also be adapted to start in Fez and finish in Marrakech.
